Almost done....need buttons on, which of course I can't find. (guess what tonight's project is!) and the underskirt leveled (Wednesday)...and a hem.

Tonight I also need to go to Micheal's and get stencils to do the sash, and possibly my foot locker....

I Have A 5 yard roll of fabric pleated in 1/4 inch pleats!

worth every penny of paying a pleater to do it right.

The collar is prepped for Mrs. Banks, And if I work hard I may even have a finished costume this weekend. (provided I devote time to actually sewing on buttons)

So On Saturday I managed to misplace my sewing needle someplace between home and the Fourth of July parade...

This meant I only had my knitting to work on, and so have made progress...It had been sort of derailed in favor of costuming deadlines.

The collar and outside edge are completely bound, I think I probably should bind the lower inside edge too. The sleeves are one seam away from attaching and I've pinned out the excess fabric from where I added too much when sizing up the pattern...it's too late to sew eye darts, or sleeves and not screw up.

I've been working on Mrs Banks all day. I think it's going to be too big...but it it is shaping up nicely. When there is actual daylight I think I'll try for some pictures.

I need a ruffler foot. and I need to cut down the neck line some more, but if I do that now probablity is high that I'll make a mistake I can't fix.

Yesterday I was supposed to go see The Soloist, but was feeling too fragile to cope with the movie...as much as I enjoyed the columns when they were in the LA Times. I just wasn't up to dealing with Schizophrenia, and homelessness at all yesterday.

Because a visit with Ducks is always motivating, and fun and many things indeed. I have all but finished the Victorian onesie...just the fastening left!

The ruffles on the leg are quite nice, even if I made a construction error or two. And I may have to insert a bust gusset to acomodate the year or so that passed while they were unfinished....but ( Read more... )
